Siege & Defense is the new seventh expansion in the 2025 Carcassonne refresh line. It introduces city attacks, defense posts, fortress tiles, and catapults, creating a more confrontational expansion built around risk, contribution, and survival under pressure.
Players invest meeples to strengthen defense posts and score during attacks.
Retail listings describe 18 new land tiles, 2 fortress tiles, 3 catapults, and 12 standard meeples.
Contribute too little and you may have to give up a feature, making defense decisions tense and highly interactive.
