Chicago: February 15th, 1929. Its a cold winters day when the investigators good friend Hattie May appears in theiroffice at the detective agency. Her beloved pet dog, Highball, is scheduled to be destroyed later today and she needs the investigators help getting him back from the Chicago Police Department. It doesnt sound like too difficult a task, does it?
New York: September, 1932. The investigator, together withtheir two close friends Anna Konrad and Lucas Reston, hasbeen invited to a party at wealthyand notorioussocialiteMadame de Tissons swanky apartment on the Upper WestSide. Anna is somewhat distracted by her audition tomorrowfor Nancy Turner, the famous jazz orchestra conductor. Whatis the link between the audition and a mysterious parcel thatarrives the next day? And, why do so many people seem to beinterested in the contents of the parcel?
