Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) isnt just being shy or avoiding people (thats being asocial), its a trauma-induced neurodevelopmental disorder. People with ASPD find it very difficult to make and maintain personal relationships, and they may have a hard time accepting rules and can often end up in trouble with the law. They also have a high likelihood of experiencing depression, mood disorders, and substance use issues. ASPD presents on a spectrum with individuals experiencing different symptoms at varying severity, but research is showing that there are solid modes of treatment and therapy that can help.
