The SB2U Vindicator was an early US dive bomber capable of operating from aircraft carriers. It was introduced in 1937 and retired at the end of WWII. A total of 260 were built by the Vought corporation. Over its 7-year service, the Vindicator was used in multiple roles, starting with carrier-based scout bomber, then dive bomber, and finally as a trainer. This 1/48 scale kit includes PE, plastic and transparent parts for assembling the export version of the SB2U, the V-156-B1 Chesapeake with three decal options. The fully assembled model is 21.6cm long and 9.8cm tall.
