The Honda CX500 Turbo was the world’s first commercially available turbocharged motorcycle to be unveiled at the Cologne Show in 1980. Equipped with a water-cooled V-Twin engine and a turbo unit developed jointly with Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries.
The combination produced 82 hp, and although it had 500 cc, it had the same performance as a 1 litre motorcycle. The front suspension was equipped with an anti-nose dive mechanism, and the rear suspension was equipped with a Pro-Link suspension.
